That’s right! I’m officially a published photographer now, and a CNN.com photoseries is not too shabby for a first by-line.
This was a picture I took on a whim at the Rally for Andrew Meyer
which you can find out about here and here.
It’s interesting to read all this stuff online about Andrew because he’s actually a distant friend of mine.
Without saying anything about how I feel about anything that happened, his character, or his politics — he’s always been a really nice guy to me.
ADDENDUM (September 20th):
Here’s some of the large versions of the pictures that I sent in that did or didn’t get posted
This is my favorite picture. After a little creative post-production, the guy holding the sign looks almost pasted in it’s surreal. I also like his sign, “The Truth’sOn Youtube” [sic]… If the truth is a 14 year old girl lip-syncing to a Hillary Duff song, then yes, the truth is definitely on Youtube about 500 times.
Jesse!
Asia!
It’s Skeet!
Another sign that says, “Youtube = Truth”… Did everyone crib sign ideas from each other before the protest.
I wonder if these pictures would stand up to real “journalistic scrutiny”. I’m not even really sure what that means.
